Modified acrylic display case

Hey guys! Just want to share something I made about a month a ago, a display box sold here locally  that I modified to give the kit kept inside it a little bit more spunk. The display case is good as is with a nice glossy base and built in LED's on the side like shown in this pic (image and kit are not mine). I decided to give it a hangar feel to it with light focused on the kit.

First off with used prepaid cards and pla plates detailed the base for a hangar look, modified the wiring to move the LED's upfront and with tubes and pen caps made posts to place the LED in and directing the light towards the kit.

HG 1/144 Nemo (GWC 1.0 w.i.p. part 3)

Hello everyone time for a small update, nothing much just teaser pics of what I've made so far in weathering this guy. Still need a few touch ups here and there before taking proper pictures for submission.

Forgot to mention on the previous post that I've dry brushed the internal frames as well as the rifle with silver.

HG 1/144 Nemo (GWC 1.0 w.i.p. part 2)

Greetings everyone! Time for another update on my HG Nemo, a lot of progress has been done this past week and I like how things are progressing in weathering this kit. With that here are pictures of the work so far...

Before priming the kit I added up some texture to some parts of the kit with a mixture of tamiya putty and Mr. hobby thinner applied it with a hard bristle brush.

My GBWC 2012 PH leg entry: work in progress Intro

Hello again guys! This time around I'll be sharing to you guys my entry from last years GBWC 2012. This year the organizers made a few changes in the rules, they now require a receipt from the local toy store (event sponsor) where the kit will be bought other than that the rules are pretty much the same.

So with limited kits available (since the store don't carry much gundam kits) and limited time given because the announced new rules was just two months away from the deadline many participants had to hustle to make the cut and others backed out because kits sold at the toy store are expensive than its regular price. We decided to push on (for the love of gunpla).

On the next post will be the first part of this work in progress. see you guys then! For the meantime here's a preview.

Tamiya: Castrol Toyota Tom's Supra GT & Opel Astra V8 Coupe

Hey folks! Here is another post in my venture in car/bike scale modeling. Both from Tamiya the Toyota Supra GT and the Opel V8 coupe. probably the most challenging part of this build as i said from my previous post was putting on the decals, aside form being a big piece one needs to place it on an uneven curvy surface. But all of this will be all worth it when everything is assembled and done.

Repsol Honda NSR 500 '98

In early 2012 i wanted to try out other scale model kits to build. I was thinking scale model cars because I was really fascinated how modelers make it so realistic with high gloss show finish. Fortunately my cousin was giving away his unbuilt kits so me and my brother took this opportunity to grab free stuffs! hehehe...

My entry for GBW 2011 Ph leg: Sangokuden Shin Ryuusou Ryuubi Gundam

hello again! Here is the first of the promised kits that I made last year, this kit was my entry for GBWC 2011. I wrote from my last post that the sazabi was put on hold and this kit was my "substitute" or "plan B". That year they had a special category for SD Sangokuden kits and lucky enough i was picked and won :).

We are back!!! (for now)

It's been really a while! more than a year has passed since last post :(... sorry if anyone is been following the progress of sazabi, it was put on hold and been collecting dust since the last time you've seen it here. While doing the sazabi i figured i didn't have time, skill and materials to make it look what i imagined it would so i ended up cancelling the project and started a new one to make it in the GBWC 2011. There is a lot to post about and thankful for a great year in gunpla, hope i can share this with you guys once my schedule clears up. thank you all and enjoy the hobby.

the kits i made for the past year! will be posting more pics of each soon...
